Online therapy for anxiety and burnout
For women who hold everything together on the outside, but feel anxious, overwhelmed, or exhausted on the inside.
This is therapy for deep-feeling, high-achieving women who don’t follow the straight path - the Wildcards - who burn brightly, carry intense pressure and risk burning out. You need something less linear than most.
This is not a quick fix. Not a performance hack. But structured, human support to understand the roots of anxiety and burnout, untangle the pressures driving them and rebuild from the inside out.
Because healing — like your life — is rarely linear.
This works for you if…
You carry a lot. Responsibility. Expectation. Emotional weight. You may appear capable and composed, yet underneath you feel anxious, overwhelmed, or close to burning out. You navigate spaces not always designed for you, arriving via routes that others didn’t take, thinking differently and often wondering if you truly belong.
Perhaps you’re adjusting to identity shifts around career, motherhood, fertility, perimenopause — or simply the evolving question of who you are now in this season of life. You may be navigating ADHD traits, a late diagnosis, or other ways you don’t fit the standard mould. Maybe now is the time to process trauma or loss, or make sense of life-altering events that have shaped you.
You don’t want a quick fix. You don’t want to optimise your way out of this. You want thoughtful, human and psychologically rigorous support from an HCPC Psychologist — support that understands complexity and meets you where you are now, without asking you to become smaller or simpler.
Anxiety, burnout and how therapy helps
Anxiety and burnout often affect Wildcards — women who live intensely, carry sustained pressure and expect a great deal from themselves over time.
Anxiety can show up as constant tension, overthinking, restlessness, emotional reactivity, or never quite being able to switch off. Burnout is different. It’s what happens when a driven nervous system has been running hot for too long — exhaustion, depletion, detachment, or feeling like the spark has dimmed.
My work is evidence-based, trauma-informed, and grounded in neurobiology. We focus on regulating the nervous system, building emotional containment and increasing psychological flexibility — so anxiety and burnout begin to ease without you having to shrink your ambition or function at greater cost.
Because for women building less linear lives, the solution isn’t pushing harder. It’s understanding yourself so you can live differently.
About me
I’m a dual-qualified HCPC-registered Chartered Psychologist and UKCP-accredited Clinical Psychotherapist, offering integrative, relational therapy informed by mind–body and trauma-aware approaches.
My practice is shaped by more than formal training. Alongside clinical expertise, I bring lived experience of business, motherhood and my own less linear path. My thinking is enriched by neurodivergence, creativity and a deep respect for complexity.
This allows me to meet ambitious, self-directed women not from a place of theory alone, but from embodied understanding — with depth, steadiness and compassion. I work well with Wildcards because I am one too.
A different rhythm of therapy
My practice is intentionally structured around the seasonal year, with defined entry points in Autumn (September), Winter (January), Spring (after Easter) and Summer (July). Sessions take place weekly during term time, with space to pause and integrate during holidays.
This rhythm offers consistency for women managing complex lives, often navigating school holidays, while protecting space for rest, integration and living in between. It supports sustainable psychological change without adding pressure to an already demanding season.
If this feels right for you, I offer a free 20-minute consultation so we can explore working together.
